Effendi is a partner at BLG, based out of Toronto and Ottawa, and the chair of the firm's Appellate Advocacy and Public Law Group. She sits on the CBA's Federal Courts Bench and Bar Liaison Committee. Before joining BLG, Effendi served as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada to then-Justice Michel Bastarache, and has been counsel before the Supreme Court on several occasions.
